ASUS announced the ROG Strix G16 and ROG Strix Scar 18 on May 24, 2024. Both gaming laptops feature NVIDIA RTX 5090 graphics cards. The company released these models exclusively for the Chinese market.
Two new ASUS gaming laptops feature RTX 5090 graphics cards.
The ROG Strix G16 includes an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor and 64GB of LPDDR5X-8533 RAM. It stores data on a 2TB PCIe 5.0 SSD and displays images on a 16-inch 2.5K 240Hz OLED screen. The laptop supports up to 175W of total power in dual-core mode.

The ROG Strix Scar 18 uses an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor and 128GB of DDR5-6400 RAM. It features a larger 8TB PCIe 5.0 SSD and an 18-inch 4K 240Hz Mini LED display. This model supports up to 320W of total power in dual-core mode.
ASUS priced the ROG Strix G16 at 42999 CNY (about $6,316). The company set the price for the ROG Strix Scar 18 at 59999 CNY (about $8,813). Both laptops are available only in China.

The ROG Strix G16 goes on sale on May 30, 2024. The ROG Strix Scar 18 becomes available on June 8, 2024. ASUS has not confirmed the launch window for other regions.
