Asus has launched the a-bean 100W charger in China. This new power adapter targets users who need a compact solution for multiple devices.

Four-port layout with USB-C and USB-A ports supports PD, QC, SCP, and PPS protocols.

The device features a four-port layout with three USB-C connectors and one USB-A port. It uses Gallium Nitride technology to keep the physical size small while delivering high power.

USB-C ports 1 and 2 can each deliver up to 100W of power individually. When all four ports are active, output drops to 45W on C1 and 30W on C2. The third USB-C port and the single USB-A port share a combined 20W total.

The charger supports PD, QC, SCP, and PPS charging protocols. It includes built-in safety mechanisms for over-temperature, over-current, and short-circuit protection. This makes it suitable for gaming handhelds and general travel use.

Asus priced the unit at CNY 179 upon release in China. The company has not yet confirmed whether this model will arrive in global markets.
