Creative Assembly revealed Alien: Isolation 2 during Summer Game Fest 2026. The studio released a new trailer that shows the sequel in action after years of speculation. This marks the first official look at the project since rumors began circulating about its development.
Creative Assembly reveals the sequel trailer with upgraded enemy intelligence and a harsher environment
The game runs on Unreal Engine 5 instead of Creative Assembly's proprietary Cathode engine. Players can add Alien: Isolation 2 to their wishlists on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox right now. Support for Nintendo Switch 2 will arrive soon with a separate wishlist option launching shortly.
Creative Assembly set the story on a remote colony world battered by storms near Weyland-Yutani outpost Kurosaki Station. The sequel introduces a new protagonist and fresh storyline while keeping the core survival-horror tension of the original. The Xenomorph enemy now uses upgraded artificial intelligence to hunt players more effectively.
The environment presents harsher conditions that reduce the chance of survival for players. Creative Assembly's dedicated Survival team worked on evolving the experience to continue the Alien franchise legacy. Al Hope, the creative director, stated that the studio aims to make the eponymous killer smarter and the odds of survival slimmer than before.
Creative Assembly did not provide any release window or pricing details for the title. The developer only confirmed the platforms available for wishlist and the engine shift during the reveal event. Players must wait for further announcements regarding when the game launches or how much it costs.
