A Reddit user successfully installed nearly every version of Windows on a 2005 IBM ThinkPad T43 without using virtualization.
The laptop features an Intel Pentium M single-core processor and ATi Mobility Radeon X300 or X300SE graphics. It supports up to 2GB of DDR2 RAM and includes a 14.1-inch display capable of resolutions up to 1,400 x 1,050 pixels.

Storage options range from 40GB to 100GB hard drives. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, a modem, two USB 2.0 ports, a parallel port, VGA, S-Video, and a PC Card slot with docking station support.
MatiHalek followed an upgrade path from Windows XP to Vista, then through Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 to Windows 10 RTM. Modern operating systems required clean installs due to compatibility issues, while older versions like Windows 98, NT 4.0, and 2000 were multi-booted for better responsiveness.
The ThinkPad T43 is IBM's final laptop design before the Lenovo acquisition. It remains notable for its durable build quality and keyboard design.
