Frontier Developments announced Planet Zoo 2 on May 17, 2026. The sequel to the popular wildlife management simulation arrives October 13, 2026 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.

Frontier Developments confirms the sequel launches on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 in October 2026.

The game introduces a wider variety of animal species with unique behaviors and needs. Players can build iconic zoo rosters featuring both new arrivals and familiar favorites like African Lions and Western Chimpanzees.

Planet Zoo 2 requires 11 to run on PC. Minimum hardware includes an i7-8700K or 5 3600 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and a dedicated graphics card such as the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 with 6 GB VRAM.

The game runs on DirectX 12 and needs at least 40 GB of available SSD storage. Frontier Developments also highlighted new aquatic species, customizable aviaries, and a wildlife reserves feature that supports global conservation projects.

Players can purchase the standard edition for $49.99 USD. Planet Zoo 2 will be released on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 on October 13, 2026.
