LIAN LI announced the SX1200P power supply on April 28, 2024. The company addressed component changes in the SX Series Platinum Full Modular line. The announcement focused on the main capacitor specifications used in the unit. LIAN LI confirmed that future production will use 105℃ 420V full Japanese capacitors. This update replaces previous units that utilized 400V capacitors.

The SX1200P delivers 1200W of power output. It belongs to the SX Series Platinum Full Modular family. LIAN LI stated that the previous 400V rating met performance and safety standards for this power segment. The company emphasized that component substitution ensures supply stability. They claim the substitution involves equivalent or higher standard components that do not affect performance or lifespan.

LIAN LI provided a two-option compensation plan for affected customers. Buyers can receive a free replacement with the new 420V capacitors. Alternatively, customers can accept a 50 CNY sympathy payment. The company noted that they used at least three different capacitor materials previously. They did not specify the exact number of materials used.
