NetEase's Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play team-based game where players control heroes from the Marvel Universe. Marvel Rivals released recently and attracted many players through its competitive multiplayer format.
The anti-cheat system runs alongside the main game client and cannot be turned off through any launch parameters or configuration files. NetEase clarified that a recent parameter only hides a pop-up notification window; it does not disable the underlying security software in any way.
Most of the banned players were ranked Bronze, with 184 accounts falling into this category. Only three individuals reached the highest competitive tier, One Above All, before being permanently removed from the game.
NetEase confirmed that repeat offenders will face additional penalties, including IP bans and hardware-level restrictions in future enforcement actions. NetEase plans to implement IP and hardware bans for repeat offenders to stop them from bypassing penalties with new accounts.
