ELECOM has announced the IST PLUS, a new wireless trackball targeting users who prioritize smooth cursor control and ergonomic comfort. The device ships in two distinct variants: the M-IT10MRS series uses a ball roller mechanism for a familiar tracking feel, while the higher-end M-IT11MRS series integrates a high-performance bearing unit designed to reduce friction further.

The IST PLUS maintains an ergonomic design while incorporating upgraded internal components for improved performance. Both models feature a 36mm trackball that rotates freely in all directions to minimize hand strain during extended use. The ball roller variant offers a standard glide, whereas the bearing model claims an even smoother experience with less physical resistance.
Key specifications include native sensor resolution at 500 dpi, which users can adjust between 100 and 4,000 dpi using ELECOM Mouse Assistant software. Connectivity options cover both 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth connections for flexible pairing across multiple devices. The unit measures 96mm wide by 126mm deep with a height of 52mm, weighing approximately 120 grams.
The device includes five assignable buttons equipped with silent switches to reduce clicking noise. Each button configuration is stored in onboard memory, allowing settings to persist across different computers without requiring software installation. Two variants are available: one featuring a ball roller design and another utilizing a high-performance bearing system.
Pricing for the standard M-IT10MRS series starts at 8,380 JPY (about $52.73), while the premium bearing-based M-IT11MRS model is priced at 10,980 JPY (about $69.09). Both variants will be available in black and white color options upon release.
The IST PLUS is scheduled for launch in late June 2026 exclusively in the Japanese market. ELECOM previously launched a wired version of this product line to build its reputation for ergonomic input devices.
