Sankyo released a new desktop cooling fan designed specifically for use next to computers and other precision electronics. The company launched the USB Desktop Cooling Fan on May 25 in Japan. The model number for this device is MFCF26KWH.
Evaporative cooling without mist ensures safe operation near sensitive electronics.
The unit utilizes evaporative cooling technology that blows air without generating mist. This design ensures safe operation around sensitive hardware. Users can control the fan through a touch panel featuring four wind speed settings labeled Weak, Medium, Strong, and High Power. The device also functions as a standard fan when the water tank is empty. It includes a washable tank and filter along with a dedicated drying mode to prevent mold growth.
The fan measures 187 by 140 by 360 millimeters and weighs approximately 1.2 kilograms. It receives power through a USB Type-C connection. The product carries a market expected price of 8,980 yen including tax.
This cooling solution targets users who need ambient temperature reduction in tight workspaces without risking moisture damage to their equipment. Traditional evaporative coolers often produce visible mist that can harm nearby electronics. Sankyo addresses this concern by engineering a system that cools the air while keeping moisture contained within the device structure.
The vendor has not confirmed any expansion plans outside of Japan for this specific model.
