Lenovo has quietly released the ThinkPad E14 Gen 8 laptop in North America. The new model replaces older Gen 7 units and arrives with a single initial configuration.

The device features an Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor with eight cores. It includes 16 GB of DDR5-5600 SODIMM RAM that users can upgrade later. Storage consists of a 512 GB M.2 2242 SSD and an empty slot for a larger M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 drive.
The laptop ships with a 1200p IPS display running at 60 Hz. The screen peaks at 400 nits of brightness and covers 45 percent of the NTSC color space. Power comes from a 48 Wh battery pack.
Pricing for this model starts at 1399 USD (about $1,399) in the United States. Canadian customers will pay 1939 CAD (about $1,408). Lenovo has not announced when other configurations will become available in North America.
