Nintendo has increased its production forecast for the Switch 2 console to 20 million units for the current fiscal year. This represents a 20 percent increase over the previous public guidance of 16.5 million units.
Production forecast updated after price increase in US and Europe regions
The company raised prices by $50 USD (about $50.00) in the United States and €30 EUR (about $34.83) in Europe to support this expanded manufacturing run.
Industry analysts expect consumer demand to remain strong despite the higher costs. Dr. Serkan Toto predicts Nintendo will sell 18 million Switch 2 units during the fiscal year, with actual sales potentially exceeding that figure.
The manufacturer plans to use bundles and other strategies to soften the impact of the price increase on buyers.
Nintendo has not confirmed specific launch windows for regional rollouts beyond the current production targets.
