Virtuos Aims to Port GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 to Nintendo Switch 2

Virtuos has expressed interest in porting Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 to the Nintendo Switch 2. The studio previously brought L.A. Noire to the original Nintendo Switch in 2017.

Studio cites L.A. Noire success as inspiration

Technical director Andy Fong said the team is eager to adapt both games for the Switch. He believes the titles can shine again on the platform and delight more players. Chief delivery officer Jake DiGennaro noted that Virtuos has long admired Rockstar's craft and ambition. He described an instant chemistry and shared language around quality between the teams.

Virtuos has not confirmed any official agreements with Rockstar or Nintendo. The company has not announced a release window or specific technical details for the potential ports.

The studio's prior work on L.A. Noire for the Switch demonstrated its ability to bring Rockstar titles to Nintendo hardware. Virtuos is now aiming to repeat that success with two of the biggest open-world games ever made.
