A rare Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 50th Anniversary Edition has been lost after being sent to the company for repair. The device is one of only 50 units produced worldwide. The owner, Rhener Furtado, received a standard replacement instead of the original limited edition.
Owner received standard replacement instead
The anniversary edition features a 1975-style Microsoft logo, gold accents, a custom boot screen, and exclusive wallpapers. Microsoft initially confirmed that the same unit would be repaired, but later deemed the device unrepairable and sent a standard replacement.

Furtado is demanding the return of the original device. Microsoft has not responded to the request.
The incident was reported by Windows Central and Reddit. Microsoft has not confirmed the outcome of the situation.
