Rainbow Six Siege Operation System Override Adds Vegas Map and Ranked Rework

Ubisoft announced Operation System Override, the Year 11 Season 2 update for Rainbow Six Siege, at the Salt Lake City Major esports event. The update introduces a new map inspired by Rainbow Six Vegas and overhauls the ranked system.

Calypso Casino map and Dokkaebi rework detailed

The new map, Calypso Casino, draws inspiration from Rainbow Six Vegas. According to the development team, it stays true to the essence of the original map while being enhanced for competitive play. The Dokkaebi operator receives a rework: her phone ability now targets individual operators and can detonate if not disabled. The ranked system removes hidden MMR, adds placement matches, and introduces cosmetic and currency rewards along with squad restrictions. A weekly rotating operator system will be available for trial version players. Balance updates affect multiple operators, and visual enhancements are coming to Emerald Plains and Kanal maps.

Ubisoft plans to add official mouse and keyboard support on consoles as a mid-season update. Users who opt in will be placed in the PC matchmaking pool.
