GIGABYTE has launched the X870E EAGLE X3D WIFI7 motherboard in Japan. The board is built on the AMD X870E chipset and targets gamers seeking higher performance. It features X3D Turbo Mode 2.0, which GIGABYTE claims can boost gaming performance by up to 25 percent.

The motherboard uses a 14+2+2 phase power design with 60A DrMOS. It supports DDR5-9000 memory up to 256GB across four slots. Storage options include one PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot, three PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, and four SATA 3.0 ports. Expansion slots include one PCIe 5.0 x16, one PCIe 4.0 x4/x16, and one PCIe 3.0 x2/x16. Networking is handled by Realtek 5GbE LAN, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. Audio uses a Realtek ALC1220 codec. USB connectivity includes USB4 via an ASMedia controller.
The X870E EAGLE X3D WIFI7 is priced at 42800 JPY (about $270) in Japan. It will be available starting May 22, 2026.
The board includes enhanced VRM cooling with a heatsink that has four times the surface area, a 5W/mk thermal pad, and a vented I/O panel that can reduce temperatures by up to 7 degrees Celsius. GIGABYTE has not confirmed availability or pricing for other regions.
