Cerebras claims the WSE-3 has 19 times more transistors than Nvidia's B200 and 28 times the compute power. The chip supports a maximum context length of 128K tokens. On the Cerebras Inference cloud platform, the chip achieves over 3000 tokens per second on the GPT OSS 120B dataset, which the company says is 15 times faster than leading GPU clouds.

Cerebras signed a $20 billion agreement with OpenAI in December 2025. OpenAI President Greg Brockman said in an email that exclusive use of Cerebras hardware will give OpenAI an overwhelming hardware advantage over Google.
The company's market capitalization stabilized at $602 billion by the end of the week, though stock prices remain subject to volatility.
