LG has introduced a new 27-inch 4K IPS monitor, the UltraFine 27U730B-B, designed for users who want a single-cable desktop setup. The monitor connects via USB Type-C, which handles video, data, and power delivery simultaneously.
Single USB-C cable handles video, data, and power
The display features a non-glare IPS panel with a 4K resolution (3840×2160) and supports 1.07 billion colors. It covers 90% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and has a 5ms gray-to-gray response time, 300 cd/m² brightness, and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. The USB-C port provides 65W power delivery and acts as a USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub with two downstream ports. Other inputs include HDMI and DisplayPort 1.4. The stand offers tilt adjustment from -5° to 15° and 80mm of height adjustment.
In Japan, the 27U730B-B is expected to retail for about 55000 JPY (about $349). A second model, the 27U710B-B, lacks the USB-C hub and is priced around 44000 JPY (about $279). Both models are scheduled to launch in late May 2025.
The 27U730B-B targets professionals and home users who value a clean workspace with fewer cables. By combining video, power, and peripheral connectivity into one USB-C link, LG aims to simplify the desktop experience. The monitor's color accuracy and 4K resolution also suit photo editing and content consumption.
LG has not confirmed availability outside Japan. The launch window remains as reported by Japanese retailers.
