TCL CSOT has completed construction of its T8 factory in 151 days, ahead of schedule. The facility will produce inkjet-printed OLED panels for televisions.
Factory built in record time
The T8 factory is a G8.6 generation plant using 2290 × 2620 mm glass substrates. Its monthly processing capacity is about 22,500 sheets. According to Omdia, inkjet-printed OLED panels cost 30-35% less than those made with fine metal mask (FMM) technology.

The total investment in the factory is approximately 29.5 billion yuan, which equates to about 5.3 trillion won or 3.6 billion euros.
First commercial OLED panels from the factory are expected for monitors in July 2026. TV-sized panels may not enter mass production until after 2027, as TCL CSOT has not yet announced plans for that segment.
