BECUZUS has pushed back the release date of VANRAN to early 2027 from the previous target of December 2026. The extra time in development will give the company more time to refine the Chain system which mixes movement and combat. The date change means players who were looking to explore the dark fantasy setting this winter will have to reschedule.

BECUZUS delays VANRAN to refine climbing combat mechanics

VANRAN is a third-person action RPG set in the Demon Realm. It stars Caleb, a fallen human slave who finds himself in this harsh land. The game contains an interesting Chain system which blends climbing and combat into one seamless movement.

The game is designed to have multi-stage battles with giant creatures called Govu. Climbing elements are integral to scaling the giant enemies while fighting them. The use of vertical movement in combat is a departure from traditional action RPGs.

A specific set of components is required to play the game on PC. The minimum requirements include a GTX 1060 GPU with 12 GB RAM and DirectX 11. Recommended specs increase to an RTX 2070, 16 GB RAM and DirectX 12. You’ll need 50 GB of space for the game.

VANRAN will release on PC, Xbox Series S|X, and PS5. It’s not clear how elaborate the story branches will be. This is an important point of uncertainty for those seeking a story-heavy experience.
