Nintendo Switch 2 Japanese Model Price Increases by 10,000 Yen Starting May 25

Nintendo is raising prices on several Switch models and its online subscription service in Japan. The Nintendo Switch 2 Japanese model will cost 59,980 JPY (about $383) starting May 25. That is an increase of 10,000 yen from its previous price.

Other Switch models are also affected. The Nintendo Switch (OLED model) rises by 10,000 yen to 47,980 JPY (about $306). The standard Nintendo Switch goes up by 11,002 yen to 43,980 JPY (about $281). The Nintendo Switch Lite increases by 8,002 yen to 29,980 JPY (about $191).

Nintendo Switch Online subscription prices will change on July 1. The individual 12-month plan goes from 2,400 yen to 3,000 JPY (about $19.15). The family 12-month plan rises from 4,500 yen to 5,800 JPY (about $37.02). For the Expansion Pack tier, the individual 12-month plan increases from 4,900 yen to 5,900 JPY (about $37.66), and the family plan goes from 8,900 yen to 9,900 JPY (about $63.19).

The multilingual Nintendo Switch 2 model is not affected by these price changes. Nintendo has not confirmed whether similar price adjustments will apply in other regions.
