Akasa introduced the Euler MX2, a new fanless Mini-ITX chassis designed for users who need more storage flexibility than previous compact builds allowed. This case targets builders seeking a silent, industrial-grade enclosure that supports modern Intel Core processors without requiring active cooling. The shift from M.2-only storage to dual 2.5-inch bays addresses a common limitation in small form factor systems.
New chassis expands storage options for silent industrial builds
The chassis measures 272.6 x 205 x 92.6 mm with a total volume of 5.2 liters, which is larger than its predecessor, the Euler CMX. It accommodates Mini-ITX motherboards and supports Intel processors with a thermal design power of up to 35W. The design includes support for LGA1851, LGA1700, LGA1200, and LGA115X sockets, covering Intel Core 8th through 14th Gen and Core Ultra 200-series CPUs.
Specifications
- Volume: 5.2L
- Dimensions: 272.6 x 205 x 92.6 mm
- CPU TDP Support: 35W
- Motherboard Support: Mini-ITX
- Storage: 2x 2.5-inch SATA bays
Storage capacity has been expanded significantly with the addition of two internal 2.5-inch SATA bays that accept drives up to 9.5 mm thick. This replaces the M.2-only storage configuration found in the earlier Euler CMX model, which had a smaller 4.0-liter volume. The system relies on an integrated 220W DC-to-DC converter for power delivery, eliminating the need for a bulky external power brick.
Industrial features distinguish this model from standard consumer cases, including two rear serial port openings and a Kensington lock hole for security. Front connectivity includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, while VESA mounting remains supported for flexible placement options. The Euler MX2 is priced at 195 GBP (around $258) in the UK and 198 EUR (around $223) in Europe, with availability planned for the UK, Europe, North America, and Asia.
