ThundeRobot has released a new color variant for the K96 mechanical keyboard, targeting budget-conscious gamers who want tri-mode connectivity without a high price tag. The Saturn Storm edition joins the lineup at a starting price of 249 CNY (around $37.07), making it one of the more affordable options for users seeking a full-featured peripheral. This release gives buyers a low-cost entry point into mechanical keyboards that support wireless 2.4GHz, Bluetooth, and wired connections.

The K96 features a 98% layout that retains a dedicated numpad on the right side, which is useful for users who need number input alongside gaming keys. It is built with an anodized aluminum top plate and an ABS plastic bottom cover to keep the weight manageable. The device measures 360 by 149 by 22 millimeters, fitting standard desk setups without taking up excessive space.

Power comes from a built-in 1900mAh lithium battery that supports the tri-mode connection scheme. The keyboard includes 17 white LED lighting effects that users can cycle through. ThundeRobot made the K96 Saturn Storm edition available in China starting on October 2, 2024.
