NZXT S5 RGB and S5 RGB Deluxe Launch: Entry-Level ATX Cases for $50

NZXT brings back its entry-level S series with two new mid-tower cases that let builders control their cooling budget. The S5 RGB and S5 RGB Deluxe share the same 42.8-liter chassis skeleton, which means you can pick the model that fits your fan count without changing your build layout. These cases matter because they offer a standardized footprint for budget-conscious gamers who still want modern connectivity and RGB lighting.

Both models measure 482 x 210 x 423 mm and support standard ATX motherboards. The base S5 RGB comes with one pre-installed 360mm single-frame RGB reverse fan mounted at the top. The S5 RGB Deluxe adds two more fans to that setup, including a 120mm RGB reverse fan for the bottom angled mount and a rear 120mm RGB fan. This configuration gives Deluxe buyers a head start on airflow without needing to buy extra units.

The chassis provides seven expansion slots and supports GPUs up to 415mm long. You can fit power supplies up to 200mm in length and CPU coolers up to 162mm tall. Cable clearance behind the motherboard tray measures 22mm, which helps keep your wiring tidy. Storage options include one 3.5-inch drive bay for those who need physical disk space.

Front panel connectivity includes one USB-C port running at 20Gbps and two USB-A ports at 5Gbps. A 3.5mm audio jack sits next to the USB ports for headset users. The case supports up to ten 120mm fans in total, and the top panel can hold a 360mm radiator for liquid cooling setups. These specs cover the needs of most mid-range gaming builds.

NZXT lists the S5 RGB at 49.99 USD (around $49.99) and the S5 RGB Deluxe at 59.99 USD (around $59.99). Both models became available in the US market on September 22, 2024.
