Rapoo has released updated versions of its popular VT2 and VT2s gaming mice, giving buyers a chance to upgrade to a faster sensor and controller without changing their preferred hand shape. These updates matter because the new hardware supports an 8kHz polling rate, which reduces input lag for competitive gamers who need the most responsive equipment available. The company is offering two distinct form factors to ensure that both large and small hands find a comfortable fit.

The new lineup includes the VT2 V2 and the VT2s V2, both of which share the same core electronic components but differ in physical dimensions. The VT2 V2 is designed for users with larger hands, featuring a higher back and a slightly heavier profile to accommodate a stronger grip. The VT2s V2 targets small to medium hands with a more compact body that weighs less and sits lower to the desk.

Both mice utilize the PixArt PAW3950 sensor and the Nordic nRF54L15 controller to deliver high-speed tracking and efficient power management. They are equipped with 100-million-click OMRON mechanical micro-switches to ensure durability during intense gaming sessions. The devices support a polling rate of up to 8kHz in both USB-C wired and 2.4GHz wireless modes for consistent performance.

Each model contains an 800mAh battery that provides different runtimes depending on the polling rate selected by the user. At the standard 1kHz polling rate, the battery lasts up to 750 hours, while the high-performance 8kHz mode extends battery life to 120 hours. The VT2 V2 measures 126x63x40 mm and weighs approximately 55 grams, whereas the VT2s V2 measures 119x62x39 mm and weighs approximately 52 grams.

Rapoo has priced both the VT2 V2 and VT2s V2 at 229 CNY (around $34.05) for the initial release in China. The mice became available for purchase starting on September 11, 2024, at 20:00 local time. This pricing makes the updated hardware accessible to budget-conscious gamers who want high-end specs without a premium cost.
