Buyers planning to upgrade their gaming rigs in China are facing a sharp increase in graphics card costs this month. Channel prices for major NVIDIA and AMD models have jumped by an estimated 20 percent compared to July levels. This shift means consumers will need to adjust their budgets significantly before making hardware purchases.

Channel costs for flagship and mid-range graphics cards rise significantly

ASUS and Gigabyte are the primary vendors driving these adjustments across the GeForce RTX 50 Series and Radeon RX lineup. The price hikes affect flagship cards like the RTX 5090D V2 as well as older inventory such as the RTX 3060. AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9060 XT models also saw their channel costs rise during this period.

Mid-range options like the RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti rose by 1,500 to 1,700 RMB (around $251), or roughly $222 to $252.

These figures represent factory and distributor-level channel pricing rather than final retail street prices. Actual store costs will depend on existing inventory levels and individual retailer margins.
