COUGAR FRZ 412 ARGB Cooler Launches With 240W TDP and 4 Heat Pipes

COUGAR introduced two new single-tower CPU air coolers that aim to balance cooling performance with compact dimensions for standard PC cases. COUGAR introduced the FRZ 412 ARGB and FRZ 412 ELITE ARGB as single-tower, single-fan coolers designed for users seeking effective thermal performance within a compact form factor. With a height of 160mm, these coolers are designed to fit within standard case dimensions while maintaining clearance for most memory modules.

Single tower design fits standard cases with direct contact base

Both the FRZ 412 ARGB and the FRZ 412 ELITE ARGB share the same core cooling hardware and physical footprint. They utilize a single tower design with a single 120mm fan mounted on top of the fin stack. The 160mm height allows the coolers to clear most standard memory modules while utilizing a direct contact base and four heat pipes for heat dissipation.

The cooling engine relies on four heat pipes that make direct contact with the processor surface to transfer heat efficiently. Both models are rated for a cooling capacity of 240W TDP. The fan itself is a 12025 model featuring seven blades and a stabilizer ring to reduce vibration and maintain consistent airflow over the heatsink fins.

The primary difference between the two models lies in the bearing type and lighting features. The standard FRZ 412 ARGB includes ARGB lighting and uses a Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) in the fan. The ELITE ARGB variant omits the digital display and top lid light strip, and uses a rifle bearing instead of the FDB bearing found in the standard version.
