Shuttle unveils XPC Cube SB860R8 SFF PC with up to 192 GB RAM

Shuttle has introduced the XPC Cube SB860R8, a compact desktop PC designed for 's latest Arrow Lake-S processors. The system uses the LGA1851 socket and supports up to 24-core CPUs.

The SB860R8 fits in a 13-liter enclosure measuring 33.2 x 21.6 x 19.8 cm. It can hold up to 192 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM across four UDIMM slots. Expansion includes one PCIe x16 Gen 5 slot and one PCIe x4 Gen 4 slot. The case accommodates dual-slot graphics cards up to 280 mm in length.

Storage options include four 3.5-inch SATA drive bays, two M.2 2280 slots, and one M.2 2230 slot. Connectivity features four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports (Type-A and Type-C), and four USB 2.0 Type-A ports. Video outputs comprise HDMI 2.1, HDMI 2.0b, and dual DisplayPort 1.4b. Networking is handled by dual 2.5G Ethernet ports, and an RS232 header is present.

The XPC Cube SB860R8 targets users who need a small-form-factor system with high memory capacity and discrete GPU support. It competes with other mini PCs that offer similar expansion but typically in larger chassis. Shuttle has not confirmed pricing or availability for the SB860R8.
