Customer receives wrong phone after display repair request
The incident involves Google's Pixel 9 Pro XL and the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. The customer, a Reddit user, sent in his Pixel 9 Pro XL due to a green line on the display. A Google technician mistakenly shipped a Galaxy S22 Ultra with a broken screen as the replacement.
The customer described opening the package and finding a card from the technician along with the wrong phone. He said, "I opened the package, read the card from 'the technician from Google' and unwrapped the phone and found out that I received a Samsung S22 Ultra with a broken screen. How on earth is this possible?"
Google Support is investigating the error and expects to resolve the issue within one to three business days. The company has not yet commented on how the mix-up occurred. The customer is awaiting a proper replacement for his Pixel 9 Pro XL.
