Schlage is launching its first smart deadbolt with Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology on June 29, 2026. The Sense Pro Smart Deadbolt uses UWB to detect when a user approaches and automatically unlocks the door. This hands-free feature works with a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch that has an Apple Home Key.
UWB enables automatic unlocking as user approaches
The lock supports Matter over Thread for direct integration with smart home hubs. It also includes WiFi for remote management and NFC for tap-to-unlock. A USB-C jumpstart port on the outside provides backup power if the batteries die.
The Sense Pro is priced at $399 in the US and $549 in Canada. It launches on the same day in both countries. Schlage expects the lock to receive Aliro certification later this year, which will add Android UWB support.
This is Schlage's first lock to combine UWB and Matter connectivity. The UWB feature is branded as Schlage Converge. We looked at Schlage's earlier smart locks while covering smart home launches.
