Nvidia announced the RTX Spark Superchip SoC at Computex on June 1, 2026. The chip is part of the Grace Blackwell family. Microsoft and are using AI to improve x86 app compatibility on Arm-based PCs.

AI agents handle real work across apps

The RTX Spark Superchip SoC is a system-on-chip designed for next-generation Windows PCs. It combines Nvidia's GPU architecture with Arm-based CPU cores. Microsoft showcased agentic AI for converting and validating x86 apps at Build 2026.

According to Microsoft, 90% of time on Windows on Arm PCs is spent in native apps. The Prism emulator handles some x86 apps. Legacy business apps and some games still have compatibility issues under emulation.

Nvidia promised some anti-cheat compatibility for gamers. Microsoft's AI agents can handle real work across apps without constantly communicating with the cloud, according to Microsoft Build 2026.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said: "The PC is being reinvented. For forty years, you launched apps. Click. Type. With RTX Spark and Microsoft Windows, you ask, and the PC does the work." Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella called it a "real breakthrough."

The RTX Spark announcement and the AI-driven compatibility improvements aim to address the remaining gaps in Windows on Arm adoption. The combination of new hardware and software could make Arm-based PCs more viable for users who rely on legacy x86 applications.
