A new power bank called Solly is launching via Kickstarter with a foldable design that integrates both a solar panel and a built-in wall charger. Designed for travelers who require convenient power on the go, this unit eliminates the need to pack individual cables and wall plugs. It arrives in US, EU, and UK plug configurations that retract into the body for compact transport.
Foldable design with retractable plugs and solid-state battery for safe travel power
The unit uses a solid-state battery architecture to reduce thermal risks during operation. It provides 74 Wh of capacity across two USB-C ports capable of up to 140 W output each. A USB-A port adds another 20 W, bringing total combined output to 300 W.
The gadget measures 3.1 x 2 x 1.4 inches and weighs 14.1 oz. It includes a USB-C cable that doubles as a lanyard for carrying convenience. A built-in solar array provides backup power during emergencies, although the manufacturer has not disclosed exact energy conversion rates.
Users can recharge the power bank itself via USB-C at up to 140 W or by using the built-in plug. The solid-state design claims improved safety under physical stress compared to traditional lithium-ion cells. Shipping is scheduled for August through the crowdfunding campaign.
