Forza Horizon 6’s Car Meets, a core social feature in the open-world racing game, are drawing heavy criticism from players who report them feeling unusually empty despite strong daily engagement. The issue centers on visibility limits and missing incentives rather than a lack of player interest.
Server caps and missing rewards keep parking lots sparse
The problem manifests across Xbox Series X and PC versions of the title developed by Playground Games. Players logging into Car Meets often find only one or two vehicles present, even when community reports indicate over 100,000 concurrent users on Steam at peak times.
Server architecture appears to cap the number of visible drivers in a single instance, leaving most parking spaces unoccupied. Visibility restrictions prevent spontaneous gatherings from forming naturally, turning what should be lively hubs into sparse showrooms.
The lack of tangible rewards compounds the issue. Players receive no XP, credits, or Wheelspin bonuses for visiting Car Meets, removing motivation to seek out these locations. Community suggestions include voting systems for best vehicles and small experience boosts to drive traffic.
Positive experiences do occur when players coordinate convoys or stumble into larger groups, but these remain rare exceptions rather than the standard player experience. The core concept works in theory, yet execution falls short of expectations.
Forza Horizon 6 is available on Xbox Series X and PC platforms. US pricing for the Xbox version sits around $70 through major retailers like Amazon.
