The Japanese company Mynus has released a magnetic back for the iPhone 17 Pro that removes the device’s protruding camera bump and creates a completely flat profile. The accessory attaches via neodymium magnets and a reusable micro-suction sheet, allowing users to eliminate the rear camera cluster while maintaining access to the phone’s original aluminum unibody and buttons.

Japanese company Mynus releases a $39 magnetic back that eliminates the protruding camera cluster and creates a completely flat profile for the device.
The Mynus back is designed as an aesthetic modification rather than a protective case. It weighs 32 grams and features a wedge-shaped design that is thicker at the top to improve grip. The flat profile prevents desk wobble, and the company explicitly states it does not offer drop protection or guarantee full compatibility with all device functions.
The accessory is available in four color variants: Rubber Black, Orange, Navy (soft-touch), and Sand White (sandstone-like). It claims to maintain MagSafe and Qi charging compatibility while installed. The back protects the camera lenses and rear glass from surface scratches but leaves the original aluminum unibody exposed.
The Mynus magnetic back starts at $39. International shipping appears available, though buyers should be aware that additional duties and taxes may apply depending on the shipping destination. The company is also preparing to launch a similar accessory for the iPhone Air by June.
