MSI has launched the MAG B850M GAMING PRO MAX WIFI motherboard in China. The company positioned this board as a gaming-focused option for the AM5 platform. It arrives with a specific set of hardware features designed to support modern processors and peripherals.

The motherboard utilizes a 6-layer server-grade PCB with 2oz copper weight. Power delivery consists of an 8+2+1 phase configuration where the Vcore section uses 60A SPS components. An onboard OC Engine chip supports overclocking adjustments. Memory support includes four DDR5 Non-ECC UDIMM slots capable of speeds exceeding 8200 MT/s during overclocking.

Connectivity options include a single PCIe Gen5 x16 slot directly connected to the CPU and one PCIe Gen4 x4 slot provided by the chipset. Storage flexibility comes from three M.2 slots supporting 2280 or 2260 form factors. The board also provides four SATA III ports. Network capabilities feature Realtek RTL8126 wired 5GbE connectivity alongside Wi-Fi 7 with 160MHz bandwidth and Bluetooth 5.4.
