Ethics Policy

Editorial and Ethics Policy

PC Central covers PC hardware, gaming hardware, software, and related technology. Our goal is to publish accurate, useful, and clearly sourced information for readers who follow the PC industry.

Editorial independence

Our editorial decisions are made by the PC Central team. Companies, advertisers, retailers, and PR agencies do not control what we publish, how we write, or what conclusions we reach.

We do not accept payment in exchange for coverage, review scores, awards, or editorial conclusions.

Sourcing and attribution

We aim to identify the original source of information whenever possible. This includes official announcements, product pages, press releases, regulatory filings, public statements, benchmark data, and direct communication with companies.

When information comes from a leak, rumor, or unofficial source, we clearly label it as such. We do not present unconfirmed information as fact.

Reviews and product samples

Review samples may be provided by manufacturers, retailers, or distributors. Receiving a product sample does not guarantee coverage or a positive review.

PC Central does not accept monetary compensation for reviews. Review conclusions are based on our testing, available data, and editorial judgment.

Unless otherwise agreed before delivery, product samples sent to PC Central may be kept after testing.

Conflicts of interest

Writers and editors must avoid conflicts that could affect their coverage. If a relevant conflict exists, it should be disclosed or the person should not cover the topic.

PC Central does not allow writers to review products from companies where they have a current financial or employment relationship.

Affiliate links and advertising

PC Central may use affiliate links to retailers such as Amazon and Newegg. If a reader buys a product through those links, we may earn a commission.

Affiliate links do not influence editorial coverage, product selection, review conclusions, or news judgment.

Advertising is kept separate from editorial content.

Corrections and updates

We correct factual errors promptly when they are identified. Substantive corrections may be noted on the article when appropriate.

Minor edits, such as typo fixes, formatting changes, or clearer wording, may be made without a correction note when they do not change the meaning of the article.

Readers can report errors at .

Use of AI tools

PC Central may use AI tools to assist with editing, formatting, translation, research organization, or workflow tasks.

AI tools do not replace editorial review. Published articles are reviewed by a human editor before publication.

Gifts, travel, and events

PC Central may attend industry events, briefings, or product demonstrations. If travel, lodging, or access is provided by a company and is relevant to coverage, we may disclose it when appropriate.

Gifts or perks must not influence coverage.
