The system runs on the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor. It ships with 128GB of LPDDR5x memory and a 2TB PCIe Gen 4×4 solid-state drive. Connectivity options include a 10Gb Ethernet port, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, three USB-C ports, and an HDMI 2.1b output.
AMD claims the Ryzen AI Halo saves developers $750 per month in cloud service expenses compared to using remote computing alternatives. The company positioned this mini PC as a cost-effective solution for running local AI models without ongoing subscription fees.
The announcement also introduced the Ryzen AI Max 400 series, codenamed Gorgon Halo. This lineup serves as a refresh of the previous Ryzen AI Max 300 series. The updated processors offer up to 0.1GHz higher CPU and GPU frequencies alongside 5 TOPS more NPU performance. The series supports up to 192GB of unified memory, with 160GB allocatable for video RAM.
AMD has not confirmed a specific launch window for the Ryzen AI Halo mini PC.
