Intel has reportedly started shipping engineering samples of its next-generation Nova Lake-S desktop processors. The chips are expected to launch in the second half of 2026, according to a leak from SiliconFly.

The Nova Lake-S lineup will feature up to 52 cores, including 16 performance cores, 32 efficiency cores, and 4 low-power efficiency cores. Single compute tile variants will offer up to 28 cores, while dual compute tile models reach the full 52-core configuration. The dual tile versions also include up to 288 MB of last-level cache. The processors will use a new LGA 1954 socket with 900-series chipsets and support DDR5 memory up to 8000 MT/s with CUDIMM and CQDIMM modules.

Performance claims from SiliconFly suggest single-core performance could improve by up to 20% over Arrow Lake, while multi-core performance is expected to double. The improvements are attributed to increased IPC, larger cache, AVX10.2, and APX support.
