Capcom has announced that the Resident Evil franchise has surpassed 200 million cumulative sales. The milestone comes as the series celebrates its 30th anniversary.
Capcom sold 26.76 million Resident Evil games in FY25
In fiscal year 2025, Capcom sold 26.76 million Resident Evil games. The ninth mainline entry, RE9 Requiem, accounted for a quarter of those sales. Resident Evil is now Capcom's best-selling franchise at 201 million units.

Monster Hunter is Capcom's second-best-selling franchise at 127 million units. Street Fighter ranks third at 59 million units. Mega Man and Devil May Cry round out the top five with 44 million and 38 million units, respectively.

Capcom has not confirmed the exact date of the 200 million sales milestone or provided additional details about future Resident Evil releases.
