Russian chipmaker Mikron is now selling framed test wafers as souvenirs. The wafers can hold up to 120,000 chips each. Twelve different designs are available.
Framed wafers come in 12 designs
Each wafer is 200mm in diameter and comes in a 270 x 270 x 15mm frame. The framed product weighs 365 grams. The number of chips on a wafer ranges from 30 to 120,000. Which specific chips are on each wafer is random, according to the product page.
The framed wafers are priced at 12500 RUB (about $171) each. Mikron also sells vials of cleanroom air for 2 USD (about $2.00). The 2026 edition is available in Russia.
The wafers may include AMUR MIK32 RISC-V chips or transport card chips. Dmitrii Kuznetsov stated that Mikron is preparing to release a new RISC-V chip called the MIK32-2.
