Microsoft has released new Windows 11 Insider builds for the Experimental channels. Build 28020.2134 targets the 26H1 development branch, while build 29591.1000 is for 26H2. These builds introduce several new features and improvements.
New features include update skipping and shared audio.
Users can now skip updates during the Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE) and extend update pause periods. The shutdown and restart options with updating are now always available. A shared audio feature using Bluetooth LE Audio broadcast technology allows two people to listen to the same audio from one PC. Storage settings have been updated to show a UAC prompt only when viewing temporary files. The reliability of SSDP notifications has also been improved.
A known issue in these builds is that the Reset PC function may get stuck. Microsoft recommends using the cloud download option as a workaround.
The new builds are part of Microsoft's ongoing development of Windows 11. The company has not confirmed a public release date for these features.
