Lenovo has announced the ThinkStation P4, a new workstation that brings AMD 3D V-Cache technology to professional desktops for the first time. The system is also the first workstation to combine AMD Ryzen Pro 9000 series processors with NVIDIA RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell GPUs.
First workstation with AMD 3D V-Cache
The ThinkStation P4 supports up to an AMD Ryzen 9 PRO 9965X3D CPU with 16 cores and a 5.5GHz boost clock. It can be configured with up to 256GB of DDR5 memory at 6400MT/s and offers liquid cooling for sustained workloads. Storage options include up to 4TB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs and up to 12TB 3.5-inch SATA HDDs, with multiple drive bays. The GPU options are the NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell workstation edition or the Max-Q variant, both with 96GB of GDDR7 ECC memory and delivering up to 4000 TOPS of AI performance.

The ThinkStation P4 will be available from June 2025 in select global markets. Pricing has not been announced.
Lenovo states that the AMD 3D V-Cache technology improves performance in complex, data-intensive applications. The liquid cooling system is designed to keep the workstation quiet and stable under high loads. The system also includes ThinkShield security features, a discrete TPM 2.0, and a chassis intrusion switch.
