Kinetic Games has launched a crossover event that brings Alan Wake content into the co-op horror game Phasmophobia. The event went live on May 12, 2026, and is available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Event runs until June 2
The event is free for all Phasmophobia owners on those platforms. It was developed in collaboration with Remedy Entertainment and written by Sam Lake. This marks the first time Alan Wake 2 content appears on Steam. The event is a one-time occurrence with no plans to rerun.
The event runs until June 2, 2026.
Phasmophobia has sold 28 million copies to date, with 23 million on Steam and 5 million on consoles. A full 1.0 launch is planned for later in 2026. Sam Lake said, "It was a joy to write for this collaboration. Our two twisted worlds amplify each other perfectly."
