Elecom has announced four new wireless game controllers. The lineup includes the GP50 series and the GP40 series. Both series are available in straight and cross layout versions.
GP50 series targets competitive FPS gamers
The GP50 series is designed for first-person shooter games. It features dead-zone-free sticks with no input correction for precise aiming. The mechanical trigger buttons have a durability of 10 million cycles. The D-pad and main buttons use high-performance rubber from a Japanese manufacturer and are rated for 3 million cycles. The GP50 weighs about 220 grams and has a battery life of approximately 16 hours without vibration and 10 hours with vibration. The GP40 series offers an FPS mode and a compatibility mode with a turbo function. It weighs about 162 grams and has a battery life of approximately 16 hours. Both series support XInput and DirectInput and can be customized with the Gamepad Assistant software.

The GP50 series is priced at 7480 JPY (about $47.60) for the straight model and 7680 JPY (about $48.87) for the cross model. The GP40 series is priced at 6080 JPY (about $38.69) for the straight model and 6280 JPY (about $39.96) for the cross model. The controllers are scheduled for release in mid-May 2026 in Japan.
