Louis Rossmann has pledged $10,000 to cover the legal fees of a developer threatened by Bambu Lab. The developer, Pawel Jarczak, shut down his OrcaSlicer-BambuLab project after receiving a cease and desist letter from the 3D printer maker.
Rossmann offers legal fee support
Bambu Lab claims that third-party integrations were generating 30 million unauthorized requests per day. Rossmann called on the community to crowdfund legal defense for Jarczak.

In a video, Rossmann said: "If Bambu Labs goes after you for keeping up your code, I am so confident in your case that I will pay the first $10,000." He also directed a profanity-laced message at the company, telling it to "pick on somebody your own size."
Community members have already offered support. One commenter said they would contribute $20, adding they don't even own a 3D printer but "just hate bullies." Another pledged $100, noting they own an X1 Carbon from before Bambu Lab "revealed how evil they are."

Tom's Hardware and YouTube are among the sources reporting the story. Bambu Lab has not publicly responded to Rossmann's pledge or the developer's project shutdown.
