Microsoft is developing a new Low Latency Profile feature for Windows 11 that temporarily boosts CPU clocks to improve app and interface launch speeds. The feature is already available in the Windows Insider Program, according to Windows Central.
Temporary CPU boost speeds up apps and UI
When enabled, the Low Latency Profile increases CPU clocks for 1 to 3 seconds. This can result in up to 40% faster launch times for apps like Edge and Outlook, and up to 70% faster launch times for interfaces such as the Start menu and context menus. The boost also reportedly improves the launch speed of many third-party apps.

Microsoft has not announced a general release date for the Low Latency Profile. The feature's availability outside the Insider Program remains unclear.
The Low Latency Profile is designed to make the operating system feel snappier by temporarily pushing CPUs to their maximum frequency during critical launch moments. This approach targets a common user pain point: sluggish app and UI responsiveness.
