Skywind Fan Game Completes All Quests, 92% Voice Acting in 2026 Update

The Skywind Team has released a significant development update for its fan-made recreation of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. The project, which rebuilds the classic RPG using the engine from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, has crossed several major production milestones. The team shared these details in a video titled Skywind 2026: The Road Continued.

World building advances with ten regions nearing completion and core mechanics functional

Development progress shows that all base game quests are fully written and finalized. The team is currently implementing these quests into the game world. Voice acting is also nearly complete, with over 92 percent of the approximately 3,000 non-player characters fully recorded. Nearly 300 volunteer voice actors contributed to this effort.

World building is advancing rapidly as well. Ten of the thirteen exterior world regions have reached 90 to 100 percent completion. The team has finished 28 of the 30 level kits used to construct specific locations. Core mechanics from the original game are now functional, including the complete character class system and the ability to disarm traps using classic probes. The original soundtrack also contains over 130 new tracks.

The volunteer team is actively recruiting new members to help finish the project. They are looking for 3D artists, asset implementers, voice actor audio mixers, programmers, and quality assurance testers. The group is also planning future downloadable content, but these expansions will not be part of the initial release.

The Skywind Team has not committed to a specific release date. The project remains in development with no confirmed launch window. The team continues to work on finishing the remaining level kits and finalizing the voice acting for the last few characters.
