Nacon is reportedly preparing to shut down Big Bad Wolf, the Bordeaux-based studio behind Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss and Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong. The closure would come just weeks after the studio shipped Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss.
Report details second studio closure
Big Bad Wolf is a subsidiary of Cyanide and has also developed The Council. The reported closure follows Nacon's insolvency filing and the previous shutdown of Spiders, another studio under the publisher. Layoffs have also been reported at Kylotonn, another Nacon studio.
The report comes from Origami, a source that has accurately reported on Nacon's financial troubles in the past. However, Nacon has not officially confirmed the closure of Big Bad Wolf.
It remains unclear whether Kylotonn will also be fully shuttered or if the reported layoffs are the extent of the changes there. The future of Big Bad Wolf's staff and ongoing projects has not been announced.
