Huawei PLC 3.0 Router Delivers 1.5Gbps Over Power Lines

Huawei introduced Lingxiao PLC 3.0 to solve the headache of running Ethernet cables through walls. This powerline networking solution lets users plug devices into standard electrical outlets to get gigabit internet speeds. Homeowners who rent or have thick concrete walls can finally get stable high-speed connections without drilling holes or hiring contractors.

Self-developed chip doubles bandwidth to 200MHz for faster data rates

The system relies on a self-developed PLC 3.0 chipset that expands the transmission bandwidth to 200MHz. This technical shift doubles the bandwidth compared to traditional powerline solutions that typically use 87.5MHz. The expanded bandwidth allows the network to reach theoretical data rates of 1.5Gbps for faster file transfers and streaming.

Huawei integrated AI Anti-Interference 2.0 to handle the noisy electrical environment of modern homes. The technology actively identifies and avoids frequency bands disrupted by appliances like refrigerators and microwaves. This smart filtering prevents the common lag and dropouts that often plague older powerline adapters.

The networking architecture uses a PLC MESH hybrid design that combines powerline signals with Wi-Fi. It features dual-band seamless roaming technology that switches devices between access points with near-zero latency. This setup ensures consistent coverage throughout the house without the buffering interruptions typical of weak signal zones.

The solution works with compatible hardware such as the Huawei Router Q7 Wire Edition and the Huawei Router X3 Pro. We touched on Huawei Q7 Mesh Router Launches June in our earlier Huawei coverage. These devices form the backbone of the mesh network to deliver the advertised whole-house gigabit experience.

Huawei Terminal BG CTO Li Xiaolong presented the technology as a complete wired-free networking alternative. The company positions the Lingxiao PLC 3.0 as a practical way to achieve whole-house gigabit speeds without physical cabling. The system is ready for deployment in homes that prioritize convenience over custom wiring installations.
