AKKO Gem 01/02 Keyboards Launch: 8000mAh Battery, VIA Support

AKKO has released two new mechanical keyboards, the Gem 01 and Gem 02, bringing a distinct aesthetic to the budget peripheral market. These models matter because they combine a premium CNC aluminum build with a large battery and full VIA support at entry-level prices. The Gem 01 offers an 81-key layout, while the Gem 02 expands to a full 102-key configuration. Both models feature a faceted gem lighting design that utilizes RGB underglow to highlight the aluminum chassis. AKKO equips these keyboards with tri-mode connectivity, allowing users to switch between wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth connections.

Under the hood, the keyboards use a Gasket mount structure to improve typing feel and sound. They come stock with AKKO's Star series switches and PBT double-shot keycaps for durability. Software customization is handled through VIA compatibility, which supports full key remapping and macro programming. The Gem 01 starts at 379 CNY (around $55.99), and the Gem 02 is priced at 679 CNY (around $100).
