Google's May 2026 Pixel update has arrived, but it does not fix a battery drain issue introduced with the March update. The problem remains under investigation on Google's Issue Tracker.
The update does address several other bugs. It resolves a camera freeze, screen flickering, and slow wireless charging when the battery is between 75 and 80 percent.
The update is rolling out globally starting in May 2026. It will reach users in phases over the next several weeks.
Google has not shared a timeline for when a fix for the battery drain issue will be released.
